From mid-day Pool Party to the afternoon Carnival, Mesa Verde Country Club’s 4th of July was an exciting success. Numerous families and friends came out for the pool party and enjoyed patriotic cocktails in the sun, while others played ping pong and cornhole on the lawn. A watermelon eating contest topped the event off nicely.
Later at the Carnival, there was no shortage of fun or good food. With bounce houses, face painters, a ferris wheel, and a live band there was something entertaining for everyone. Chef prepared some great dishes, with grilled corn on the cob and street tacos, there was more than enough choices to satisfy any craving. As the sun set and the ferris wheel lit up, members and guests came together on the driving range lawn and listened as the live band playing classic hit after classic hit. The U.S. Marine Color Guard was brought out for a moment of silence for those who had given their lives up in the name of freedom. The cap off the celebration, the fabulous firework show lit up the sky as the Star Bangle Banner played to end an awesome day.
